4-Week Wheel Throwing Course | Skill Building
We have two separate courses running on the following Tuesdays at a 5-7 time slot time and a 7-9pm time slot time:
January 7th | January 14th | January 21st | January 28th
2-Hour classes, once per week, with complimentary open wheel session practice time*. An additional visit at your leisure may be required to glaze any additional pottery made past week 3 or made during open wheel practice sessions.
Includes: (4) 2 hour classes, once per week with complimentary open wheel session practice time after completion of the second class during week 2-4 (with extra clay purchase option).
Week 1: 2-Hour Beginner Basic Wheel Throwing/ Skill Building Trimming and Cutting (make up to 2 pieces). Includes training on how to operate a wheel.
Week 2: Skill Build Session 2- additional supervised and guided wheel time plus Stamped Impressions. (make up to 3 pieces).
Week 3: Making a mug with a handle and skill build session. (Make 1 mug or small pitcher plus one additional piece on the wheel)
Week 4: Specialty glazing techniques/ Glaze combinations. Glazing of pieces made in week 1-3. If time permits, additional supervised wheel time to make one last piece of choice (including a mug). (Paint time is additional at our regular rates to come back at your leisure and glaze any pottery made during week 4).
