Let’s play with dirt and leaves! Join us for this clay workshop where you will make two dishes by pressing and rolling real leaves in clay! Bring your own leaves (the bigger the better- we like giant maples and squash leaves the best but many small leaves can work together too) or you can pick from a selection of leaves we will hand pick and provide at the event. ellie the elephant story time pottery hour

Story time pottery | Ellie
Saturday, September 28th | 10am-11am

We’ll be reading “Ellie”, by Mike Wu and painting an adorable Elephant! We’ll show the kiddos how to splatter paint and have fun making a mess and then we will do all the clean up (the fun part for parents lol). Tell your friends about this story time and see if they’d like to join you, it’s always more fun to paint with a friend! Kids get to select their colors and explore their creative imaginations during Story Time Pottery Hour.

Story time Mosaic | Tippy the owl
Sunday, October 6th | 11am-12pm

We’ll be reading “Tippy the Owl”, by Ericka Corban and making an Owl Mosaic! Tippy is about an owl that has trouble staying in bed all night but finds help through a dear friend. Tell your friends about this story time and see if they’d like to join you, it’s always more fun to create with a friend! Kids get to select their mosaic colors and explore their creative imaginations during Story Time Mosaic Hour. Best of all, mosaics are taken home the same day with a diy grout kit!

Story time pottery | Stumpkin
Saturday, October 19th | 10am-11am

We’ll be reading “Stumpkin”, by Lucy Ruth Cummins and painting a Jack O’ Lantern Plate! Stumpkin is the most handsome pumpkin on the block. He’s as orange as a traffic cone! Twice as round as a basketball! He has no bad side! He’s the perfect choice for a Halloween jack-o-lantern. There’s just one problem—Stumpkin has a stump, not a stem. And no one seems to want a stemless jack-o-lantern for their window. Find out what happens to Stumpkin and sign up for this feel good story time pottery!

Story time pottery | Plump & Perky Turkey
Saturday, November 2nd | 10am-11am

We’ll be reading “A Plump and Perky Turkey”, by Jeff Shelly and painting your child’s hand and pressing it into a turkey on an 8” plate! Turkeys around Squawk Valley just don't jump into pots anymore—they are way too smart for that. So the townspeople hatch a clever plan. They host a turkey-themed arts and crafts fair and lure a vain bird into town by advertising for an artist's model. Sign up for this story time and capture your little turkey’s hand print on pottery and you’ll always remember it at that size!
