Lucky artist day!
St. Patrick’s day | March 17th
Wear green and celebrate the luck of the Irish! Come in and make art with us today. Just walk-in to paint pottery or make a mosaic. During checkout, we will have you pick a shamrock from the Leprechaun’s Lucky Hat. If you pick the LUCKY SHAMROCK, you will win a FREE Studio Gift Certificate for the same dollar value of the item(s) you made today! Value of the certificate is determined by the price paid for the specific piece(s) YOU purchased and made today, it does not include paint time or mosaic fee costs, or pieces made by other artists accompanying you. Your certificate can be used anytime on a future visit to paint pottery or make another mosaic!

FAMILY PAINT Day | new for 2019!
FRIDAY, April 5th | 11am-10pm
A once-a-month fun, affordable, and creative family experience for parents and children. Just $5 for unlimited paint time per person plus the cost of pottery for families painting together (2 or more persons). Family Paint Day is generally held on the first Friday of each month unless there is a conflicting event (see monthly calendar). Walk-ins only, we no longer take reservations for this event! Last seating is at 8:45pm.

Join us for a fun and relaxing learning experience creating one of a kind stoneware pottery you make from scratch on a potter's wheel. Read through the class descriptions and sign up for a class. And if you're already a skilled potter, sign up for some open wheel time!
We offer wheel throwing classes for all skill levels from beginner/ novice to intermediate for ages 10 and up.
Story Time Pottery Hour
Select mornings we will be reading a short children’s story and then painting a piece of pottery that relates to the subject of the book! Any age child is welcome to participate with a parent. Prices are all inclusive, except tax. Advanced sign-up and payment in full is required as specific pottery will be ordered for class. Sign up directly online or call the studio at 860.517.8553 to sign up by phone. Beverages and snacks welcome.
If you are part of a Mom's Group (or Dad's!) and would like to book a private Story Time Pottery Event, please contact us to arrange. We can schedule a weekday morning or afternoon that's convenient for you (Tuesday through Friday during business hours) with as little as 5 children for any one of our posted stories and projects you see below!
Story time pottery | Foxy in love
Saturday, February 9th | 10am-11am
We will be reading, “Foxy in Love”, by Emma Dodd and painting a cute fox figurine. Foxy uses his magic tail to solve dilemmas. Kids select their colors and explore their imaginations as they listen to this story and paint this fox with a magical tail! We will also have a paper make-and-take Valentine card activity included!
Story time pottery | Rainbow fish
Sunday, March 24th | 11am-12pm
We will be reading, “The Rainbow Fish”, by Marcus Pfister and painting a fish plate. Our staff will guide you and your child through the artistic process of making fish scales out of their little fingerprints while we listen to the story about a beautiful fish who learns to make friends by sharing his most prized possessions. Kids get to select their colors and explore their creative imaginations during Story Time Pottery Hour.
Story time pottery | The easter egg
Saturday, April 6th | 10am-11am
We will be reading, “The Easter Egg”, by Jan Brett and painting 2 ceramic Easter eggs perfect for displaying in a pretty bowl or hiding in the yard just for fun. Our staff will help with demonstrating simple brush strokes & dot painting techniques to decorate these fun eggs or you and your child can decorate any way you’d like. Kids get to select their colors and explore their creative imaginations during Story Time Pottery Hour.
Story time pottery | Daisy the Donut fairy
Sunday, May 19th | 11am-12pm
We will be reading, “Daisy the Donut Fairy”, by Tim Bugbird and painting a fun donut bank to keep all your “dough” in! Our staff will help with demonstrating painting techniques such as using colored funwriters to make sprinkles or you and your child can decorate it any way you’d like. Kids get to select their colors and explore their creative imaginations during Story Time Pottery Hour.
