wheel throwing

join us for a fun and relaxing learning experience creating one of a kind stoneware pottery you make from scratch on a potter's wheel. read through the class descriptions and sign up for a class. And if you already know how to throw, sign up for an open wheel time rental!

We offer wheel throwing classes for all skill levels from beginner/novice to intermediate for ages 10 and up. We provide attentive hands-on wheel throwing instruction that we are able to personalize to your experience because of our very small group class sizes with a 3 to 1 maximum student-teacher ratio. We have one-time classes for those looking to just experiment and try it out on the wheel as well as 4-week courses (starting over the late summer) where you can build up your throwing skills. We will also have an assortment of specialty workshops on specific techniques that will change throughout the year and they will be announced in our calendar. Open wheel rental sessions are available for those already skilled in throwing on a potter’s wheel.

Please note that classes and courses posted online are adult only (age 18 & up) unless otherwise specified as a “family class/ FAM”. Family style classes are for anyone age 10 & up (It’s a mixed age group- kids and/or adults can sign up, including families taking the class together.  Children less than 10 years of age require a parent or guardian to also participate and purchase a class session for themselves. We generally do not recommend wheel throwing for children under 8 years of age).
