For those of you painting from home or painting in the studio, we have a follow-along technique sheet to recreate this Very Merry design on your choice of pottery plate shape! Shop online at www.potterypiazza.com or stop into the studio to select your colors and materials.
Here's your shopping list for materials if you are painting this project from home.
Plate of your choice, we recommend the 11" Round Rim Dinner with the amount of glaze recommended below. You can also go larger to any other shape platter just slightly increase your amount of glaze you need proportionately.
You will also need the following glazes to recreate this piece:
1 ounce glaze of SC95 Pinky Swear
1 ounce of SC73 Candy Apple Red
1 ounce of SC93 Honeydew List
1 ounce of SC43 Lettuce Alone
1 ounce of SC15 Tuxedo
A 6-well Paint Strip of the following glazes: (3) SC10 Teal Next Time, (1) SC27 Sour Apple, (1) SC89 Cutie Pie Coral, (1) SC28 Blue Isle.
Additional Materials:
3 Brushes. Any small thin liner brush, a small round brush, a medium square shading brush. Use what you have at home or add brushes- we sell them too!
1 Clay Carbon Paper Transfer Sheet
1 Very Merry Technique Sheet (Free! Just add it to your cart and we will include a printed copy when we pack your order so you can paint-along with instructions.)
Don't forget to add your firing fee to have your piece fired and select curbside pick-up or home delivery!
Please note: Computer monitors may represent colors slightly differently. After painting, you will need to return your pottery to the studio to have it fired so that it is food safe and can be used. Unfired ceramic glazes are not permanent or food safe without firing in a kiln first.
